Summmit Country Day, coached by Rich Hoyt, tied with Cincinnati Country Day to win their MVC-Gray division title. Khiry Hankins, a senior guard and team captain, won MVC Player of the year, MVC 1st Team, District 16- 1st Team, and he was an All-State Nominee, and an All-Ohio Nominee. Hankins finished out the season with 21pts against North College Hill, giving him a final tally of 347pts, putting him in the lead for MVC scoring. Bradley Evans, a junior forward, made MVC 1st Team, and District 16- 2nd Team. Tommy Krayenhagen, a freshman guard, and Ryan Glass, a sophomore forward, both made MVC 2nd Team. Jack Gustafson, a sophomore forward, made MVC Honorable Mention. The #4 ranked, Silver Knights won their first game in the Division IV Southwest District Sectionals, beating out #5 ranked, Middletown Christian, 60-54, advancing them to the Sectional Finals where they will play #1 ranked, Seven Hills. The District Championship is scheduled to be played at Loveland High School, Friday, March 6, 2009 at 6:30pm. The Knights have not won a Sectional Championship since 1995.
