Two words sum up last Fridays victory by Wyoming over the Norwood Indians--Isaiah Neer (Near?). Wyomings demure RB (Jersey no. 5) ran and caught passes with impunity while scoring 4 TDs, which was more than double the points needed to defeat Norwood. If the Indians want to win games in the rest of the season, they should learn how to stop Isaiah Neer. Perhaps they can borrow him from Wyoming for their practice sessions? The Indians had problems getting their plays off and were penalized repeatedly for delay of game. This might also be something they want to work on. The other factor in the Indians loss was the horrendous officiating of the game, which also went against Norwood. It seems the referees should have consulted the rule book on the definition of defensive holding and defensive pass interference--offences egregiously and repeatedly committed against the Indians without penalty. Somebody needs to complain to the powers that be on this account. No team should suffer so much as the Indians did due to Referee incompetence. Finally, Norwood didnt begin to play until the second half, except for a few good defensive stands. After that they played well on both sides of the ball. The lesson learned then is, come ready to play before the starting kickoff. Hopefully, next Friday Norwood will bring corrections in these areas, and ask for different Referees for the next game.
