Find Out Why The Eagles Coach Is Stepping Down!

report notes | more reports

The Milford football program will be under new leadership in 2010.  That’s because current head coach Patrick Fagan has resigned to spend more time with his family.

“Although my experience with the Milford Athletic Department and its student-athletes has been positive, the time and energy commitment required for success in this position is great. I’m choosing to devote more time and energy to my family,” said Fagan about his decision.

Fagan had been the head coach at Milford for the past three seasons, compiling a 12-18 record during that time.  In fact, the program saw its win total grow in each season under Fagan, including a 5-5 mark this past season.  This year’s .500 record was the first for the Eagles since 2000.

“We are sorry to see Coach Fagan step down but completely understand and support his decision to devote more time to family pursuits,” said athletic director Mark Trout.  “We wish him the best. Being a head coach is extremely time-consuming, especially in a sport like football. We will strive to find someone who will continue to build on our current positive, upward trend of success in the Milford Football Program.”
